Connection Types:
Status Lights:
- LAN
- Solid Blue: The LAN is connected, but there is no activity.
- Flashing Blue: The LAN is connected and there is activity.
- Off: No computer connected/detected. If a computer is connected, try a different ethernet cable.
- TRANSMIT
- Solid Blue: Transmitter is functioning normally.
- Flashing Blue: Data is being transmitted.
- Off: There is an issue with transmission. Troubleshoot through your Modem Configuration Page.
- RECEIVE
- Solid Blue: Reception is functioning normally.
- Flashing Blue: Data is being received.
- Off: There is an issue with reception. Troubleshoot through your Modem Configuration Page.
- SYSTEM
- Solid Blue: System is functioning normally.
- Off: There is an operation issue.
- POWER
- Solid Blue: The power is on and the hardware is functioning normally.
- Off: There is no power.
- Off with other lights flashing: Your modem has encountered a serious fatal error. Try powercycling the modem and if this does not correct the issue your hardware may be damaged.
Misc Notes:
- In the "System Control Center" there should be a "System Status" light. If it says "Ok" then everything should be functioning normally, however if it states "Problem" then click on the Problem button to determine why the modem is not functioning properly. The System Status page will give you the following information:
- Signal Strength
- 70 or greater: Normal operation, no action required.
- 31-69: This could be caused by poor weather conditions or improper dish alignment.
- 30: The dish is pointed to the wrong satellite or the modem is configured for the wrong frequency.
- 10: The dish is pointed to the wrong satellite.
- 0: There is no signal from the ODU (Out-Door Unit). Make certain to check your cable connections and the dish.
- Receive Status
- (RxCode 3): There is an outage, you are experiencing poor weather conditions, or your dish is not properly aligned.
- (RxCode 5): Normal operation, no action required.
- (RxCode 6): There is no signal from the ODU (Out-Door Unit). Make certain to check your cable connections and the dish.
- Transmit Status
- (TxCode 1): Your transmitter has been disabled by your ISP. This is likely due to billing or virus-related issues.
- (TxCode 8): Normal operation, no action required.
- (TxCode 9): Your transmitter is busy ranging, this should correct itself within approximately 2-4 minutes.
- (TxCode 10): There is a configuration problem with your modem or at the ISP.
- Software Download Status
- All files are up-to-date.: Normal operation, no action required.
- Any value other than "All files are up-to-date.": The modem is downloading an upgrade or new configuration files. Please way approximately 15 minutes and this should switch to "All files are up-to-date.".
- Commission Status
- Commissioned [Keys updated]: Normal operation, no action required.
- Any value other than "Commissioned": Your service has been terminated, you have a billing issue, repeat virus traffic has been detected, or there has been a malfunction. Contact your ISP immediately.
- TCP Acceleration Status
- Operational: Normal operation, no action required.
- Not operational, unavailable: This can sometimes be displayed while the modem is first turning on. If this condition remains longer than 5 minutes after booting, your service has been terminated, you have a billing issue, repeat virus traffic has been detected, or there has been a malfunction.
