- Windows believes that you are already connected. Make certain that you aren't already connected, and if you are not try powercycling your DSL modem and restarting your computer.
- Are you certain there is no other connection open? Make certain no other connections to the Internet exist and check your Startup folder to see if there might be software that is causing your computer to connect automatically when it is restarted.
