Status Lights:
(Powering up - indicates when modem is first plugged into a power source)
(Normal use - indicates when the modem has finished initialization and is ready to allow an Internet connection)
- Power Light
- Off - Power cable is unplugged or plugged in non working electrical outlet
- On - Modem has power
- USB Light
- Off (Normal use) - USB cable is not connected to Modem or PC
- Off (Normal use) - USB drivers are not installed on PC
- Off (Powering up) - Modem has not completed initialization
- On (Normal use) - USB drivers installed, but no activity
- Flashing (Normal use) - USB drivers installed and connection is working
- Sync Light
- Off (Powering up) - Modem has not finished initialization
- Off (Normal use) - No cable service to modem, check lines and possible ISP outages
- On (Powering up) - Modem has found downstream
- On (Normal use) - Modem maintaining downstream
- Flashing (Powering up) - Modem searching for downstream

Misc Notes:
- The Username and Password for the web interface is "user"
- Modem/Router does have NAT and Firewall built in and settings are changed on internal configuration page
- Internal configuration page allows user to view current signal levels, event logs and other information
- If no cable is connected or active on the line, the modem will issue the PC the IP address of 192.168.100.?(usually 11) allowing access to intneral web page at 192.168.100.1
- When working the lights will look like:
- Power, Ready, and Sync lights will be solid green
- Either USB or Ethernet lights will flash, depending on the type of connection used to connect to PC
- Wlan light will flash when someone is using a wireless PC
- Normal Acceptable Signal Levels:
- TX (8 to 55)
- RX (-15 to 15) Ideal is 0
- SNR (Above 30)
- Main reasons for bad levels are too many splitters, loose connections, and damaged or low quality cables.
