Status Lights:
- Power
- Off - Power cable is unplugged, plugged in non working electrical outlet, or the modem is self testing
- On - Modem has power
- Flashing (Slow) - The modem has had a Fatal Error which indicates a checksum error or hardware issue. Try powercycling the modem by unplugging it, waiting a short time, then plugging it back in. It will then enter self-diagnostics and either recover or again show the Fatal Error. Contact your Internet Service Provider if this error persists. It is possible that the modem will need to be replaced.
- Computer Link
- Off - No Ethernet or USB is connected
- On - Ethernet or USB is connected
- Flashing (Fast) - There is Ethernet or USB activity
- Intermittent (Powering Up) - Modem has not completed initialization
- Intermittent (Pipe Lock On) - Pipe Lock Mode is on, blocking access between your computer and the Internet. You have either turned this on, your modem is downloading updated configuration data, or you have pressed the Pipe Lock button.

- Off - No connection, cable is unplugged, or the modem is in standby mode
- On - Indicates operational status
- Flashing (Slow) - Modem is initializing
- Flashing (Fast) - Normal activity
- Intermittent - Pipe Lock Mode is on, blocking access between your computer and the Internet. You have either turned this on, your modem is downloading updated configuration data, or you have pressed the Pipe Lock button.
- Pipe Lock
- Off - Pipe Lock Mode is off, you can turn this on by pressing the Pipe Lock button. This is used to maintain a high level of security when you are away from your computer.
- On - Pipe Lock Mode is on, blocking access between your computer and the Internet. You have either turned this on, your modem is downloading updated configuration data, or you have pressed the Pipe Lock button.

- Any State - Indicates your modem is still connecting
Misc Notes:
- The Pipe Lock button may be more popularly known as a "Standby" button. It is used to lock down your connection when you are not using it.
- When working the lights will look like:
- Power will be solid orange.
- Cable Link and Computer Link will be solid orange or fast blinking orange when there is activity.
